The Offer

Requirements from a single person office (150 sq ft) through to whole floors of 9,000 sq ft can be accommodated.

Accommodation within the building can be offered on either a conventional leasing arrangement for a term of years to be agreed or on a fully managed basis via United Business Centres.

IT & TELECOMS INFRASTRUCTURE

The IT & Telecoms infrastructure provides flood wired structured cabling (CAT5e) and floor boxes to all floors at a ratio of 1:10 sq m. The cabling all links back to floor specific patch panels and racks in a secure, air-conditioned and UPS protected hub room on the 8th floor.

Through various partnerships, fully managed telephony and internet solutions can be provided via the latest in IP Phone technology, including direct dial numbers and voicemail.

BBC's Planned Move To Salford

In January 2007 the BBC confirmed that their move to Salford's 200 acre mediacity:uk will be going ahead after much speculation in the latter months of 2006. The BBC plan to transfer five departments, including Sport, Children's and Radio Five Live, to Salford by 2011 along with 1,500 jobs.

This historic move by the BBC has triggered the beginning for Salford's mediacity:uk and much interest has been shown by other media and technology companies.
 In the latter months of 2006, Granada confirmed that they were exploring the possibility of moving a number of their operations from their Manchester Quay Street site. Further, Salford University has confirmed that it will move its entire arts, media and social sciences departments to the mediacity:uk site.
